Sculpture-collectie
De Nachtmann Sculpture-collectie is mooi door zijn imperfectie. Het ontwerp toont een ijssculptuur waaraan de beeldhouwer nog werkt. Daardoor zie je grote en kleine vlakken die allemaal anders zijn.
Het contrast met de gladde en perfect transparante bovenkant zorgt voor een prachtige lichtbreking in het glas. Met Sculpture haal je kunst in huis.
Design Whisky Set
De Nachtmann design Whisky Set is gemaakt van zuiver Beiers kristalglas. Nachtmann-glazen zijn ongelooflijk sterk, krasvast en ze glanzen als waterdruppels in fel zonlicht. De hoge temperaturen tijdens het productieproces en het thermisch polijsten spelen hierbij een grote rol. Met de Nachtmann whiskyset van kristal haal je pure luxe in huis.
Productieproces
Het productieproces van Nachtmannglazen begint met de zorgvuldige selectie van grondstoffen. Kwartszand, metaaloxide, alkalioxiden en kalk smelt op zo’n 1500°C samen in een tank. Vervolgens perst of blaast Nachtmann het vloeibare glas in een mal. Als finishing touch wordt het glas met thermisch gepolijst, met een perfect egaal oppervlak en een onweerstaanbare glans als resultaat.

When I moved from Turkey to Sweden to study design, I would have never imagined that I would one day design glass art. But now I ‘m completely in love with the material . I think it is a fantastic medium to discover light , reflections and billing. It’s more than just a physically solid form. It has an extra dimension in the one presenting itself and with which you can play. For NextGen, I returned back to the origin – a rugged boulder. I imagined a sculptor who worked the block, thereby exposing a touch of crystal. I wanted to capture the inner beauty. More important than the finished product was for me to show the creative process – the Rough and the Smooth. At Sculpture the complex geometry of the unmachined part of the glasses with the light reflection plays. Together with the perfection of the machined part and its brilliant light refraction Nachtmann has not only created a glass, but a modern sculpture.
